Acupuncture

Practiced in China for over 2500 years, acupuncture involves the insertion of fine, sterile, disposable needles at specific acupoints throughout the body.  These points help to stimulate the free flow of qi and blood along the body’s twelve energetic pathways.  Acupuncture can be used to treat a wide variety of health conditions by balancing the nervous system, regulating the hormones, strengthening the immune system, and is most well-known for its ability to eliminate pain.

Acupressure

Finger pressure is used to stimulate both deep tissue and surface muscles at your body’s acupoints. Pressure on specific combinations of acupoints helps to open and balance energy pathways that have been restricted, promoting the free flow of qi and blood throughout the body.

Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture not only addresses the surface of the skin but also the body’s internal imbalances associated with the process of aging. These imbalances are reflected on the face in the form of wrinkles, loss of muscle integrity, decreased skin elasticity, and skin problems such as acne and rosacea. Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture helps to restore the body’s vitality and produce healthier muscle tone, tighter skin, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, and an improved complexion.

Auriculotherapy

Auriculotherapy is a system of acupuncture that uses the ear as a micro-system to represent the entire body. This system of acupuncture can be performed using extremely fine needles or through a needleless application for sensitive patients. Our practice also incorporates the use of ear seeds — tiny seeds that are held in place on the surface of the ear with a medical adhesive. The constant pressure that these seeds exert is amplified by pressing on the seeds for a few seconds, multiple times per day, thus, amplifying and prolonging the effects of the treatment.

Neuropuncture

Neuropuncture is a special system of acupuncture that combines neuroscience and evidence-based clinical research with the classical acupuncture model. Neuropuncture creates an extremely effective approach to modulating the nervous system and allows us to target specific receptors for the release of particular neuropeptides, reset dysfunctional autonomic reflexes for improved organ function, and depolarize overstimulated nerves for pain management.

MASSAGE THERAPY

We offer a variety of massage techniques, including medical massage and craniosacral therapy. In addition to relieving muscular pain and tightness, massage can help to calm the nervous system, increase circulation throughout the body, improve the flow of nutrients to the organs and tissues, and promote proper elimination of waste products through the lymphatic system.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha involves repetitive scraping of the skin using a smooth-edged tool, traditionally made from jade or horn.  Due to its repetitive nature, Gua Sha is able to re-align muscle fibers, break up scar tissue, and transform local stagnation.  Gua Sha is a great alternative to acupuncture for chronic pain conditions and more.

Moxibustion.jpg

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a technique that consists of burning dried mugwort leaves on or above the surface of the skin. The resulting heat and thermal radiation promote metabolic function, improve circulation, increase immune function, regulate internal organs, and help to eliminate pain.

Cupping.jpg

Cupping

Cupping is a traditional technique that uses glass cups to create suction along the skin.  The resulting suction encourages blood and lymph flow to the area, facilitates myofascial release, and increases collagen production. Cupping can be used to treat pain, improve microcirculation, reduce cellulite, and more.

Craniosacral.jpg

Craniosacral Therapy

A gentle, relaxing, and holistic approach, Craniosacral Therapy utilizes a light touch to release and balance the spine, sacrum, cranium, and deep connective tissue of the body. It not only addresses somato-emotional dysfunction but also enhances immune function and supports a full-body healing process by ensuring the proper flow of cerebrospinal fluid.

ZERONA FAT LOSS LASER

Backed by multiple double-blind placebo-controlled trials, the Zerona Z6 fat loss laser is a new body-sculpting procedure designed to target fat and contour the body without the need for invasive surgery.  The Z6 works by utilizing a patented laser technology to emulsify fat within the adipose tissue. Excess fat is passed through the lymphatic system in its normal course of detoxification, and unlike other procedures, the Z6 allows clients to continue their normal daily activities without pain or interruption.

Celluma Light Therapy

Originally developed by NASA, low-level light therapy produces a natural photobiochemical reaction as specific wavelengths of light are applied to the body and absorbed by photoreceptors in the mitochondria. This process increases cellular metabolism and results in a cascade of metabolic events such as an increase in micro-circulation, tissue repair, and a decrease in inflammation. LLLT is effective in the treatment of acne, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles, non-healing ulcers, and pain.
