SINUS & ALLERGIES

The following is my best recollection of how/why I lost and then regained my sense of smell.

Prior to 2002 I had chronic sinus infections, multiple doctor appointments, many courses of antibiotics and many workdays lost while I was teaching.  The culmination of this was the loss of my sense of smell and therefore my sense of taste as well.  I was not totally surprised because the same thing had happened to my mother while I was growing up. My husband was a patient of yours at that time and happened to mention my situation to you.  You said that you had prior success treating this condition and asked me to come in to see you.

Early in 2002 I visited you and upon our first session I felt some relief.  After the second, there was noticeable improvement. I came three or four more times. You were able to dislodge perhaps “fifty” years of sludge (judging from the horrific odor and taste) and totally cleared my sinuses.

Since that time, whenever I begin to get congested I visit with you. Together with your herbs and acupuncture we have this problem in check.

I came to Helen after many docs, including two leading allergists, had informed me I was the most allergic person they’d ever tested. I was on the max. of every kind of allergy and asthma medication available, including steroids and still I wound up periodically in the ER. Each ‘conventional’ doc ultimately admitted they knew not what else to do for me or with me. I finally realized I needed some alternative medicine and called Helen for an appointment.

She got me in the next day and got me through the spring allergy season of ‘06 without steroids or ER visits and it was also my first in years to be able to enjoy opening our home’s windows, hiking as much as I wanted, and relaxing by the pool. I went through the summer months well without any acupuncture needed and with less medication than usual. The fall found me needing a few treatments and her prediction and promise that over the next two years, the need for her treatments would continue to lessen and my allergies and my need for medication would ultimately go away. Oh, how I wish my job did not cause me to move out of the area. I now live in Kansas City and am seeking an acupuncture physician with at least part of the heart, the hope and the healing that comes through a few visits with Helen. Until then, I am coming into spring in the Midwest with my health under control, still thanks to Helen whose last treatement on my immune system was nearly 6 months ago!

"I CAN HEAR AGAIN!"
On December 15 I put my head under the water in the bath and both my ears blocked immediately. I could not get the water out of either of them for a few days. I have a history of waxy ears and also have very small ear canals so the combination wrecked havoc. My right ear cleared after 4 days, but my left ear remained blocked. My hearing was muffled and limited and I had a constant "wushing" sound in it. I was in misery.

Over the next two months, I sought the help of doctors and specialists. No one could help me. In fact, the ENT I saw diagnosed me with sudden hearing loss and prescribed massive dose of steroids. Luckily for me, I found Dr. Law on Feb. 11. She examined me and told me that she was certain she could help. I had hope – FINALLY, after two months of searching. And she was right; she did help me. In fact she cured my condition. After the first session, the pressure in my left ear abated, though the hearing did not return. After the second treatment, I felt a bit better, and Dr. Law said it might take a few days for my ear to drain. Just as she had predicted, two days later I could hear clearly out of my left ear for the first time since the water incident.

I am so grateful to Dr. Law. She is not just a doctor; she is a true healer."

"I want to give a heartfelt thank you for treating my hives this summer. For the last twenty years, I have been experiencing breakouts of large, red, unsightly hives – they would erupt all over my body, at any time of day or night.
