INFERTILITY
I’m writing to thank you because I am now 24 weeks pregnant. After trying numerous IUI and IVF treatments and being told by my infertility specialist doctor that I should probably start looking for donor eggs, I turned to acupuncture. After only a few visits with you and following your dietary regimen, I became pregnant. After years of trying to conceive, I don’t think this was a coincidence. I am forever grateful to you and your expertise. I just wish I could have skipped the turmoil of going through numerous IVF cycles and come to you first. It would have saved me and my husband great heartache!
Thank you again!

I had been trying to overcome PCOS-related fertility issues for about 6 months before beginning to see Jennifer, and although I also received treatment from a fertility specialist, I'm convinced that the acupuncture and herbal treatments were what really made the difference, especially since I ended up getting pregnant during a month when I was not inseminated. Our baby girl is now three weeks old, and we're extremely grateful for the care we received at Chinese Acupuncture Healthcare. Thank you so much Jennifer!

My husband and I were in our 8th month trying to have our 4th child. After a few tests with my OB, it seemed that one of my fallopian tubes were scarred shut due to previous c-sections. I was about to give up when a friend of my encouraged me to call you and visit your acupuncture practice for help. You guided me through better eating habits, gave me herbs to take twice-daily and set me up with weekly acupuncture appointments. I was somewhat skeptical about this “different” treatment, but figured let’s give it a try. Within a month and a half (only 5 visits), I became pregnant. I was very thrilled! I couldn’t have done it without your eagerness and dedication to my needs. In the weeks to come you helped me again with my intense morning sickness by curbing my nausea. It was such a pleasure to be there for my other 3 children without feeling ill all the time. I was just overjoyed with your “magic” as I called it.
But the most challenging task was yet to come. For nearly 6 weeks I had a sinus infection that refused to go away. My general physician gave me two separate antibiotics, two nose sprays and put me on an allergy medication. I was very concerned that those remedies would have a negative affect on the baby, but knew I needed to fight this infection. None of the medications worked! My face started to swell and my right eye was twitching every 15 minutes. My physician referred me to an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) doctor who said the only course of action was to do a CAT scan on my sinuses. I was so devastated to hear that putting my child through radiation was the only way to treat this infection. Again, I called upon Jen and her “magic” to help my situation. And, yet again, your “magic” worked! Within 3 acupuncture sessions, my face was healed! I couldn’t believe it… seriously, how could this be possible… I was elated!
You have been such a driving force during a very difficult few months of my life. Thank you so much for listening and guiding me through the issues with my pregnancy and sinus infection. You have been wonderful and I am now a believer in your “magic”. I have recommended you and your practice to many of my friends and family members. Thank you again for all your help!

I wanted to write to let you know that I'm seven weeks pregnant. I am sure it was the Chinese herbs and acupuncture that helped us succeed! My husband and I had been trying for nine months (and got pregnant very quickly with our first child) without any luck. I saw an OB and carefully brought in my cycle charts and was ready to talk about what I knew about my cycle. He couldn't have been less interested -- he almost seemed to make fun of me for charting. Needless to say, I so much appreciated your approach. You were interested in seeing the cycle charting and immediately identified the same thing I had seen, which was that my cervical mucus was not timed well in my cycle. After seeing you and taking herbs for just two months, we got pregnant! I noticed a real change in my CM during the month I conceived and I'm certain it was due to the herbs and acupuncture.
I can't thank you enough for being a wonderfully warm and
compassionate caregiver, as well as (obviously) great at
what you do! I'm so glad I didn't go down the path of fertility
drugs and artificial measures before trying acupuncture and
herbal medicine. I'm so much happier to have conceived the
newest member of our family at home, rather than in a doctor's
office!
And it was a pleasure to get to know you, personally and professionally. I wish you all the best in both spheres.

I
can't thank Jennifer enough for all her help and caring.
When my husband and I decided it was time to start a family
I was 30 years old, and because I had been on birth control
for over 10 years my cycles were extremely erratic. But thanks
to Jennifer and the combination of herbs and vitamins that
she put me on, my cycles dramatically improved and we were
able to get pregnant within three months.
She was able to move my ovulation date up to day 13 and
14 from being as late as day 27. She also accomplished extending
my luteal phase from 8-9 days to 11-13 days!!! The remarkable
improvements evident in my charts really speak for themselves.
Thanks again Jennifer!! We are truly grateful.

My blood results have been very good, consistently doubling.
I go for my ultrasound on Wed. I have been tired, but fortunately,
not nauseous. Thanks again for all of your help and caring.

Thank
you so much for your services! Because of you, we have
a beautiful, wonderful one year old girl – the
joy of our life!
Before
seeing you, my husband and I had been trying for a baby
for five years. After many IUI and IVF cycles, I had gotten
pregnant three times – and
had three miscarriages. While I have endometriosis, the
doctors didn't think it was related and couldn't find a
cause. They told us to start using donor eggs or adopt
instead. I was only 34 years old!
I came to see you for one last chance. Immediately upon
starting acupuncture, taking herbal therapy, and correcting
my diet (no sugar, no bread, warm food), I started seeing
amazing changes in my body. My endometriosis improved as
my periods were less painful and healthier. My blood pressure
normalized and my stomach was no longer cold to the touch.
I even started ovulation around day 14 instead of day 11.
I followed your advice and started taking fish oil supplements.
After 90 days, I was ready to try another IUI cycle. Before
the cycle even started, I told my infertility doctor that
this time was going to work because of all the amazing changes
I had witnessed in my body over the last few months. He told
me not to get my hopes up too high as I was a difficult case.
Sure enough, I got pregnant that cycle with our daughter!
Our doctor was totally shocked (and a little embarrassed!).
I'm totally convinced that your assistance helped rebalance
my hormones and made all the difference.

I am doing well. Still have some morning sickness though.
The doctor
said I am in a good shape. I really appreciate what you have
done for
me. You really made it happen!

I am due in a week and a half. I can't believe it!!! It
would all not
have been possible without your help!!! I will definitely
send you
pictures. We are having another boy.

My "After-Cancer" Fertility
Story
In 2003, at 33 years old, I was pregnant with my first child.
It was a seemingly normal pregnancy until I was diagnosed
with breast cancer in the 4th month of my pregnancy. As you
can imagine my husband Pete and I were devastated and quickly
sought the help of a variety of surgeons, oncologists, ob-gyns
and the Pregnant with Cancer support team. We ultimately
decided on a double mastectomy followed by 3 months of chemotherapy,
a short break to deliver the baby and then finish up the
final three months of chemotherapy, followed by bi-lateral
reconstruction. We had done a great deal of research and
heard that the chemotherapy we were planning on doing would
not cross the placenta (as far as everyone knew).
The
plan was successful. I delivered a full term healthy gorgeous
little girl named Scarlett (by C-section). I finished up
my chemotherapy and subsequent surgeries and I am now cancer
free. A year after I finished my chemotherapy my period had
not returned. I was afraid that I was one of the victims
of a chemically induced menopause. I sought the help of a
well known very exclusive fertility doctor in Manhattan.
My visit with him was one of the worst days of my life. After
some blood tests and an internal sonogram he told me I was
definitely in menopause and past the point of no return.
He told me my ovaries were black, hard and "dead".
He said my fallopian tubes were collapsed and could not be
healed. He recommended removing my tubes and ovaries and
explained that I would never conceive a child naturally and
if I did, I would surely miscarry. He explained that my only
option was to undergo a donor egg procedure since my eggs
were all "too
old and damaged".
I left his office devastated. I desperately
wanted another child. My husband and I resigned ourselves
to adopt but I was sick over the idea that I would never
again carry a baby and was in menopause on top of it.
After
three weeks of crying I was up one night surfing the web
for information on adoption. I started to do some research
about natural fertility cures and an article about an infertility
book came up. I quickly went to a bookstore website and ordered
the book called "The Infertility Cure" by Randine
Lewis. Days later when it arrived I could not put it down.
I read it from cover to cover taking notes along the way.
I implemented the plan outlined in the book right away. It
was not easy.
The plan involved eating a diet full of whole
foods and whole grains. That meant removing all white sugar,
white flour, dairy, alcohol, processed foods, most meat,
and foods containing chemicals (which is almost all food
from a grocery store). I started to shop organically. This
was the hardest part of the program for me. For anyone who
knows me this plan was almost laughable. My whole life I
was one of those lucky people who ate whatever I wanted and
still barely broke the 100 lb. mark. Dieting was something
not in my vocabulary. Eating 2-3 chocolate doughnuts for
breakfast was the norm for me. I just felt that if I could
do this diet for one year and really give it a try it would
be worth it. I certainly had nothing to lose.
In addition
to the diet the book recommended a daily shot of wheatgrass
(from the local health food store), acupuncture, eliminating
stress (by meditating daily) and seeing a doctor of Chinese
medicine for monitoring and herbs.
I found a wonderful Dr.
by the name of Helen Law and soon was working with her and
her daughter Jennifer. What really struck me about Dr. Law
was that she appeared to have no doubt that she could not
only get me out of menopause but could help me to become
pregnant. Working with Dr. Law and Jennifer was a pleasure.
They would monitor my progress and tell me to keep the stress
level down. They continuously changed the herbs to my most
recent needs. I did whatever they told me.
Within
3 months my period had returned, two months later I was
having normal cycles with ovulation, one month later I
was pregnant. My husband and family were stunned and elated.
I am leaving out another very important part of my fertility
regimen – prayer. I never stopped praying
for a baby. I prayed to St. Gerard and I feel it was God
that helped me surf the web to find Dr. Lewis' book and ultimately
Dr. Law and Jennifer.
On October 2, 2006 I delivered a perfect
son named Peter. There is no doubt in my mind that it would
have not been possible without the intervention of Dr. Law
and Jennifer. I hope to have another baby in the next two
years.
