BACK AND NECK PAIN

Last August, ten months ago, I had a sudden onset of pain in my right hip and buttock area. It spread into my grown and down my leg, both front and back. After several weeks, it became painful for me to crouch, as the pain had spread to behind and to the right of my knee and had become severe. Eventually I periodically experienced pain down my right calf and into my foot, especially the bottom of my foot. I had a series of tests – MRIs and X-rays of my lower back and right hip and leg – none of which showed anything more than mild degenerative disease of the lower back, L5 and S1 and of the right hip. There was slight inflammation in one section of the right hip. I have been to chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists and other acupuncturists, but I have had only occasional temporary relief.

Today, my acupuncturist, Helen Law, worked on relieving tension in my muscles, in my back and hip by gently manipulating my muscles, and within two minutes, my pain was gone. When I got up and ‘tested’ the results, sitting, crouching, I experienced no pain. I have not felt like this for 10 months. I hope now that this is a new beginning for me. I am truly overwhelmed!

The pain that I experienced before I met you had become unbearable. I had been to see numerous doctors in search of treatment for my chronic neck pain. In September, 2004, I had back surgery on L4 & L5, due to spinal stenosis and severe sciatic pain down my right side. Of course I tried everything I could to eliminate having the surgery, but to no avail.

After recovering from the surgery, I was left with horrible burning, pins and needles, and mostly numbness down my right side, all the way to the foot. Again I tried all options to relieve the pain, physical therapy, drug therapy, even going to the pain clinic for nerve block and spinal injections. There was no change.

After seeing Dr. Helen Law at Chinese Acupuncture Healthcare, who was so caring and concerned and also felt she could help me, I have gotten more relief from the four sessions I have had than anything else I have tried.

My plans are to continue these sessions until I am able to be as pain free as possible.
