"The best doctor prevents illness before its onset."

According to an ancient Chinese proverb, "The best doctor prevents illness before its onset". This is the underlying principle of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

TCM treatments focus not only on solving current problems but also place great emphasis on preventive care and maintenance by restoring and balancing the nervous system, regulating the production of hormones, and strengthening the immune system.

TCM practitioners use a variety of treatment modalities such as acupuncture, acupressure, cupping, moxi-bustion, natural herbal therapy, craniosacral therapy, JMT, and dietary planning.

The difference between "maintenance" and "preventive medicine."

Maintenance care strips away the aches and pains that you can pick up during the day. It's perfect for alleviating muscle spasms and tightness, stress, anxiety, and tension. Instead of letting the tension in your life become a chronic problem requiring medical intervention, let the maintenance care program help repair the wear and tear on your body. Depending on your level of stress, we recommend that you visit us weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. We'll be happy to talk with you and discuss a personalized treatment plan.

Preventive care is critical when your family medical history or your environment makes you predisposed to encountering difficulties. The Preventive Care schedule includes some of the following practices, listed with suggested starting times.

  1. Anti-aging, face beautification, skin care, weight control, and cancer prevention: Call to schedule preventive care once every month.
  2. Hay fever or allergies: Call to schedule preventive care one month before allergy season.
  3. PMS, irregular menstruation, cramps: Call to schedule preventive care five days before the period begins.
  4. Family histories including cancer, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, attention deficit disorder, myopia, obesity, hepatitis: Preventive care should be performed monthly.
Substance abuse, medication overdose, smoking, or alcoholism: Call to arrange for a personalized plan.
